The patients who’ve been coming to Glow Family Dental for years will tell you the same thing: Dr. Martinez is one of the few dentists who pays attention to your whole health — not just what’s happening between your teeth.

That instinct started early. Growing up fascinated by biology, science, nature, and space — genuinely curious about how living systems work — he found healthcare through two things that never left him: a love of working with his hands and a deep interest in people. That path led him to the University of Detroit Mercy, where he earned his DDS in 2010. Continuing education has been a constant ever since, not as an obligation, but because better science means better care for the people sitting in his chair.

At Glow Family Dental, you’ll find patients from toddlers to great-grandparents booked on the same day — and Dr. Martinez prefers it that way. Every age group presents differently, teaches you something new, and demands that you meet them where they are. That range has sharpened his ability to adapt: the materials, the technique, the pace of the appointment — all of it gets tailored to you specifically.

Outside the office, the people he’s closest to are his mom, his siblings, and his fiancé Librado, to whom he got engaged in 2024. At home, two dogs — Omi, age 4, and Paco, age 13 — round out the household. If you want to lose track of time in the waiting room, ask him about anime, Kpop, food, traveling or video games. Growing up in Oak Cliff, Deisy Cardozo learned early on that a warm smile can make a lasting impression. After completing her dental assisting training at High-Tech Institute in 2008, she found a career that combines her passion for helping others with the opportunity to make patients feel more confident every day.

At Glow Family Dental, Deisy believes every patient deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and completely free of judgment. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been avoiding the dentist for years, her goal is to help you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. She genuinely enjoys getting to know patients and takes pride in being part of the team that helps them achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Outside the office, Deisy’s greatest joy is spending time with her three daughters, who are the center of her world. When she’s not with family, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors, traveling, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or simply appreciating a day of doing absolutely nothing.
